Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia, a highly anticipated addition to the gaming industry in Petersburg, Virginia, has announced its new senior leadership team. The appointments, made by The Cordish Companies in partnership with Bruce Smith Enterprise, bring together a group of experienced professionals with a wealth of expertise in their respective fields.
Kirk Marlowe has been appointed as Head of Security. Marlowe, who spent 37 years with the Virginia State Police, brings a wealth of experience in criminal investigation, homeland security, and strategic transformation. Most recently, he served as the Virginia State Police's first Chief Transformation Officer.
Cheryl Brown has been named Vice President of Marketing. Brown boasts over 25 years of marketing leadership experience, including stints in Atlantic City, the Bahamas, and Maryland. She began her career with Live! in 2019 as Director of Loyalty Marketing at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland and later led database and direct marketing for Cordish Gaming as Vice President of Loyalty Marketing. Brown will oversee all marketing facets at Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia, including advertising, events, promotions, entertainment, and database strategy.
Patricia Tuck has been hired as Vice President of Human Resources. Tuck's HR career began at Harrah’s Entertainment in North Kansas City, followed by a role as Director of Human Resources for Argosy Casino, Hotel & Spa in Riverside, Missouri. She also served as Executive Director of Human Resources Operations at Seneca Gaming Corporation in Niagara Falls, New York, and Vice President of Human Resources at SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tuck's most recent role was as the Divisional Vice President of Human Resources for WarHorse Gaming, where she oversaw the opening of two properties and two expansions in fewer than three years.
These executives join Yanina De Vargas (previously mentioned as Chief Financial Officer) and Penny Parayo (previously mentioned as Senior Vice President and General Manager) as senior leadership team members at Live!
